What Keeps Us From Writing?

By Jason Falls

Copyblogger has an interesting engagement post today from Michael Stelzner which simply posts the question, “What keeps us from writing?” While writers are often passionate about their craft, be they of the journalistic, feature-ish, blogosphere or literary ilk, we all run into the roadblock problem: Life gets in the way sometimes.

For me, “life” is more aptly described as my insatiable ability to spearhead more projects that I really should take time for. While overhauling JasonFalls.com, for instance, I was overhauling my son’s website, contemplating lending a helping hand to my dad for his website, planning on tinkering with a friend’s as a favor and helping build a place to publish my fiction online with some friends. And, oh by the way, I have daily father and husband and homeowner responsibilities (not to mention I have a full-time job).
